FERC Files its Environmental Assessment on Potomac Pipeline – Comments Due Feb. 26

I wanted to be sure that everyone had a chance to look at the Potomac Pipeline Environmental Assessment from the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission.

Comments are due by February 26.

You can file your comments electronically using the eComment feature located on the Commission’s website under the link to Documents and Filings. This is an easy method for submitting brief, text-only comments on a project,

With e-filing, you can provide comments in a variety of formats by attaching them as a file with your submission.  New eFiling users must first create an account by clicking on e-register.

We’ll have more to say on this, but it’s important for all of us to look carefully at this. We should focus on the fact that FERC has repeatedly, throughout the document, talked about the risks of drilling under the Potomac — and we discovered that MDE and TransCanada agreed that they would NOT conduct any analysis of that incredibly important matter.
