Our Legal Partners

Potomac Riverkeeper Network is fortunate to have established strong working relationships with a diverse range of attorneys and organizations who represent us in state and federal court litigation targeting pollution in the Potomac and Shenandoah Rivers. Our expert counsel range from nonprofit law clinics Earthjustice, Southern Environmental Law Center and Environmental Integrity Project to Sidley Austin, a nationally renowned law firm with a strong environmental practice. We receive a number of pro bono attorneys from private firms through the Chesapeake Legal Alliance. We are also supported by litigation clinics at some of the country’s top law schools, including Georgetown, Columbia, Widener and the University of Maryland. The millions of dollars in pro bono representation these firms provide enable us to bring successful lawsuits that have collectively removed millions of pounds of pollution from our rivers, strengthened environmental regulations, and established Potomac Riverkeeper Network as a force to be reckoned with when it comes to fighting pollution.

Our Partners

We couldn’t do what we do without the support of these amazing organizations!
