GW WONKCAST S2E6: THE CLEAN WATER RULE

In episode six, the GW WonkCast team talks with Phillip Musegaas, Vice President of Programs and Litigation at Potomac Riverkeeper Network, an environmental nonprofit that works to protect the Potomac and Shenandoah Rivers. Musegaas discusses the current state of water regulation and protection given the repeal and changes to the Clean Water Rule. This rule was an addition to the 1972 environmental law the Clean Water Act and it sought to clarify which wetlands and small, isolate waterways get protected. Musegaas and the team discuss consequences of changes to the policy, including what types of streams are at risk and where to go from here.

Jessica Blackband moderates with co-Hosts Erik LaDue and Eli Richman.
