The Virginia Osprey Festival is one of the largest festivals of its kind celebrating the osprey’s annual return to Colonial Beach, birdwatching and the area’s abundant natural resources.

Potomac Riverkeeper Network and Potomac River Fisheries Commission are launching Colonial Beach’s first ever Community Science Water Quality Monitoring Program in 2023. Come learn more about volunteer opportunities to engage in the science of clean water, help collect water samples and learn lab techniques to make sure the river is safe for fishing, swimming, and Ospreys!
