The EPA is proposing additional targeted changes to the 2015 final rule for the disposal of coal combustion residuals from electric utilities and independent power producers. In addition to accepting written comments, EPA is holding a virtual hearing October 10 from 9 am – 8 pm ET.
The virtual public hearing will consist of three sessions:
- A morning session starting at 9:00 am and ending at noon.
- An early afternoon session starting at 1:00 pm and ending at 4:00 pm.
- A late afternoon session beginning at 5:00 pm and ending at 8:00 pm.
Oral testimony will be limited to five (5) minutes for each person. If EPA anticipates a high attendance, the time allotment per testimony may be shortened to no shorter than three (3) minutes to accommodate all those wishing to provide testimony and have registered.
The virtual public hearing will provide interested persons the opportunity to present information, comments or views concerning EPA’s proposal. EPA may ask clarifying questions during the oral presentations, but will not respond formally during the hearing to any comments or information presented at the hearing. A verbatim transcript of the hearing will be included in the docket for this action.
Please register through the GoToWebinar website to participate in the virtual public hearing.
