We need your help to send a strong message to Governor Larry Hogan telling him that he needs to do his job and stop the Potomac Pipeline!
Maryland has until mid-March, 2018 to issue a decision about TransCanada’s application to build a pipeline under the Potomac River. That’s less than two months away, yet the Maryland Department of the Environment (MDE) is giving no signs that they are conducting a full review of the proposed pipeline’s impact on our water quality according to the Clean Water Act.
The Chesapeake Climate Action Network has launched the #MyPotomac social media campaign to spread the word to stop this pipeline. All you have to do is post a picture on social media that showcases what the Potomac River means to you. Let your friends and neighbors know why we need to STOP TransCanada’s Potomac Pipeline.
Governor Larry Hogan has the power to stop this pipeline. To boost your voice, we encourage you to tag Hogan’s social media handle in your post to make sure he sees your message. On Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram, use the @ symbol to tag him. Chesapeake Climate Action Network has prepared everything you need including sample posts in this excellent Take a Stand for Our Water Social Media Campaign manual.
With your help we can send a strong message to the Governor and stop this pipeline!
